Changing accountants

Three steps, and nothing lost on the way.

  1. 01

    We meet

An hour with a partner, in our office or on a call, about your business, your family's finances and what you would like to change. No charge, no obligation.

  2. 02

    You sign one letter

With your authorization we request your files from your current accountant. They keep working until we confirm that everything has arrived.

  3. 03

    We take it from there

Your books are set up and checked, your fee is fixed in writing and your first planning meeting is in the diary — usually within three weeks.

Before you call

Questions we hear often.

What does it cost to switch to Marlow & Co.?

Nothing beyond the fixed fee we agree before we start. With your signed authorization we request your files from your current accountant and set up your books ourselves.

How long does the handover take?

Two to three weeks for most clients. Your current accountant keeps working until we confirm everything has arrived, so no filing deadline slips in between.

What happens if the IRS audits me?

For every return we prepared, we draft the response, attend with you and speak to the IRS on your behalf. Representation is included in the tax planning fee.

Do you work with individuals as well as businesses?

Yes. Many of our clients are owners whose personal and business finances meet — we look after both, so the two plans agree.

Can we work in Spanish?

Yes. Every client has a Spanish-speaking partner on their file, and your meetings, letters and year-end reports are in the language you prefer.
